AI Data Studio- Injecting Datasets with Replicate

Injecting Datasets with Replicate and Data Studio

Data Studio gives you the flexibility to customize the data displayed in your demos, making it easy to tailor your experience for different industries, customers, or use cases. One of the ways you can now leverage Data Studio is by injecting a dataset directly into a Replicate demo.

Why Use Datasets with Replicate?

Injecting a dataset directly into Replicate unlocks new ways to deliver dynamic, data-driven demos.  This approach is ideal for:

  • Replicate Sandbox Demos
  • Replicate Embedded Demos

By injecting a dataset, you ensure that the demo environment is pre-populated with the exact data you want to showcase- eliminating the need to run Reveal or inject data separately.

How It Works

You can inject a dataset into a Replicate demo in two ways:

1. Selecting a Dataset in the Replicate Editor

  • Open your demo in the Replicate editor.
  • Navigate to the top right corner of the editor.
  • Open the Dataset menu and select the dataset you want to inject.

Once selected, the dataset will automatically apply when someone views the demo- no extra steps needed.

2. Adding a Dataset to a Custom Replicate Link

Alternatively, you can embed a dataset via a custom demo link:

  • Generate or edit your Replicate demo URL.
  • Add the dataset parameter to your link (specific instructions/format will depend on your environment).
  • Share the updated link- anyone accessing the demo through this link will see the dataset applied.

Benefits of Injecting Datasets

  • Seamless Experience: No need to run Reveal or any extensions- your data is automatically present.
  • Scalable: Reuse datasets across multiple Replicate demos.
  • Consistent Storytelling: Ensure every viewer sees the same data-driven narrative you intended.
  • Flexible Use Cases: Perfect for product tours, embedded demos, or external sharing scenarios where extensions can’t be run.
