Occasionally, you may find that your Reprise Capture Extension keyboard shortcut (⌘/Ctrl + Shift + S) stops working.
In most cases, this happens because the shortcut has been overridden or reset by Google Chrome, your operating system, or another browser extension. Luckily, the fix is quick.
Steps to Fix Keyboard Shortcuts
Close the Capture Extension
This ensures that when you re-launch it, new settings will apply.
Go to Chrome Extension Shortcuts
Open Chrome and type
chrome://extensions/shortcutsin the address bar.
Locate the Reprise Capture Extension
Look for Reprise Product Capture in the list of installed extensions.
Check the Capture Shortcut
Find the “Capture the current page” option.
If no shortcut is listed, or if the shortcut doesn’t match your setup, click the pencil icon ✏️ to reassign it.
By default:
MacOS → ⌘ + Shift + S
Windows → Ctrl + Shift + S
You may also choose your own shortcut if you prefer.
Test the Shortcut
Try starting a capture again to confirm the shortcut is working.
Why This Happens
Keyboard shortcuts can stop working for a few common reasons:
Conflicts with another extension or application you recently installed.
Chrome updates that unintentionally reset user preferences.
Sync issues between Chrome profiles with different shortcut settings.
If this happens again, we recommend:
Checking your extension shortcut settings first.
Looking for possible conflicts between other extensions.
