HTML Editor- Offline Demos

You can download and publish Edit4 HTML Environments to run demos offline. This can be used at conferences or events where internet may not be reliable. Follow the instructions below to learn how to use the Offline HTML Environment Player.

Before you begin, reach out to your CSM to enable offline demos and republish any demos that you want to download once this is turned on in your Reprise portal.

1. Navigate to "Download" in your Reprise portal.

5. Select Export (Offline) from the overflow menu of the demo you want to download.

You can also start an export from the editor: click the ellipsis menu (⋯) in the top navigation bar and select Export or Export (Offline).

When you trigger an export, it starts immediately with an auto-generated filename. You'll see a toast confirmation.

6. When it's done downloading, you will receive an email. Press "Download Now" from the email to download the zip folder containing everything you need for that HTML Environment.

7. Open up the Offline Player that you previously downloaded and select "Add HTML Environment".

8. Select the replay folder that you downloaded. Once it's uploaded, you will now see this demo in your Offline Player. You can launch your demo from here and it will behave the exact same way that it does when you're connected to the internet. The only thing you won't be able to do without internet connection, is navigate to any URL's. If any edits are made to the demo after downloading, you will need to re-download to see these edits reflected.

Important Note

We recommend using the offline player only when necessary. Please be aware that when content is viewed offline, there is no analytics or usage tracking available, and the content does not have an expiration date. This increases the risk of unintentionally sharing an outdated version of your demo.
