HTML Editor- Backup and Restore

Ensuring that your demo versions are securely backed up is now easier than ever, thanks to the new Backups section added under Settings. Whether you’re making small updates or large changes, having a backup provides peace of mind and the ability to quickly revert to a previous version when needed. Here's how it works:

Automatic Backups

Each time you publish a demo, a backup of the current version is automatically created. If it's been 10 minutes or more since the last backup, when you make a change it will auto-backup.  In addition, backups are also generated automatically before the following actions:

  • Restore a previous backup
  • Copy Into a screen
  • Duplicate a replay or screen
  • Publish/Republish a demo

This ensures that no matter what changes are made, you’ll always have a point in time to revert to.

Manually Creating a Backup

To manually create a backup, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Backups.

  2. Click on Create Backup.

    Create Backup.png

  3. The backup will be saved, and you can proceed with your changes confidently.

Restoring a Previous Version

If you ever need to revert to a previous version of your demo:

  1. Go to Settings > Backups.
  2. You’ll see a list of your previous backups.
  3. Select the version you want to restore and click Restore.

Please note that while a backup is being created, certain editing features, such as Copy Into Screens, will be temporarily disabled (greyed out) until the process is complete.

Having backups ensures you can confidently explore changes to your demos while always having the option to revert if needed.
