Reprise Connector to Google Analytics

Integration Overview

The Reprise-Google Analytics 4 integration allows you to track HTML Environment views in your GA4 account.

Note:

While Reprise does support Google Analytics UA, Google is deprecating this in July 2023. Please contact support for help setting up the UA integration. Additional details on the changes to Google Analytics can be found in their transition guide here.

How does the integration work?

  • The integration tracks every screen view that occurs on your HTML Environments, allowing you to track overall engagement.

Installing the integration

  1. Navigate to ‘Settings’ in the left-hand sidebar of the Reprise app and then ‘Integrations’ at the top of the page:

  2. Click ‘Install’ and then ‘Connect’ on the Google Analytics integration card (if you do not see the integrations tab, contact your CSM to purchase access).
  3. You will be prompted to enter your Measurement ID to connect to Reprise
    • This is how you can find that variable as shown in the picture below (please note that we have to include G- at the beginning):

How do I add Google Analytics to a HTML Environment?

After installing the integration in the Reprise app, you will only need to republish the HTML Environments you want to have in GA. The tracking will automatically apply to HTML Environments published/republished after installing the integration.

Data Sent to Google Analytics

Each time a user navigates to a new screen, the Reprise integration will fire a page_view event in GA4 or Pageview event in UA. The page_view/pageview event has associated parameters (called dimensions) that include:

  • published_replay_title: This is the title of the HTML Environment being viewed
  • link_title: This is the name of the link used to access the HTML Environment
  • Page.title: This value will be different for each screen that is viewed within your HTML Environment. This value is picked up by GA’s tracking code, and is not set by Reprise.
    • Because Reprise is a single-page app, the page.title dimension is crucial to understanding which screens visitors see within your HTML Environments. Effectively, this dimension allows you to view traffic as if screens were separate pages.

Where Does Reprise Data Show Up in Google Analytics?

Note:

Report options may vary depending on which property you are using (G4 or UA).

The only place to see Reprise page_view events in Google Analytics immediately as they happen is in the Real-Time Report on your Google Analytics dashboard. Google states that there may be a 24-48 hour delay before events will show up in any other report.

The page_view event listed in the events panel will show every page_view/pageview from your site or app, not just the events related to Reprise HTML Environments. To limit the page_views/pageviews that are shown to HTML Environment activity, choose one or both of the custom dimensions being sent from Reprise. These are:

  • Published_replay_title
  • link_title
    • NOTE - If you have surpassed your limit on custom dimensions, it’s possible these two will not be created

Note:

The only two dimensions being sent to Google Analytics from Reprise are the two custom dimensions listed above: published_replay_title and link_title. Any other information that shows up in Google Analytics reports is coming from Google’s tracking code, and is not something we control.

What Analytics Can You Get from the Google Analytics Integration?

The Reprise-Google Analytics 4 integration gives marketing teams visibility into demo engagement using the same analytics platform they already rely on. Here’s what you’ll be able to track:

  • HTML Environment Engagement in Real Time: Screen views in HTML Environments are logged as page_view events in GA4 (or Pageview in UA), allowing you to see immediate interaction in your GA Real-Time Report.

  • Screen-by-Screen Tracking: Because Reprise is a single-page app, each screen a viewer sees is treated as a distinct "page" through the Page.title value—so you can see exactly how users progress through your demo.

  • Custom Dimensions:

    • published_replay_title: The name of the HTML Environment a viewer is engaging with.

    • link_title: The specific link used to access the HTML Environment (helpful if you’re sharing the same HTML Environment via different campaigns or touchpoints).

  • Behavioral Insights: With GA’s reporting tools, you can analyze time spent on screens, drop-off points, and which HTML Environments are driving the most engagement.

  • Campaign Attribution: Pair HTML Environment analytics with your campaign parameters in GA to measure the impact of demo engagement on broader marketing goals.

  • Audience Segmentation: Use engagement data to create custom audiences based on demo interaction—ideal for retargeting or personalized nurturing.

With this integration, you don’t need a new dashboard to understand demo engagement—you can leverage your existing GA setup to track HTML Environment performance alongside your website and campaigns.
