Reprise Connector to Salesforce

Integration Overview

The Reprise-Salesforce integration allows you to use demos for lead or contact generation via a Welcome form that gates your leave-behind or product tour demos.

How does the integration work?

  • You can gate specific HTML Environment links with our Welcome Screen form
  • After connecting to Salesforce, Welcome Screen form will be sent to your Salesforce account
  • If the form fill contains a new email, a new Lead or Contact record will be added to your account
    • A Task will also be added with what HTML Environment was viewed and a link to the in-app analytics session timeline for that visitor
  • If the form fill contains an existing email, a new Task will be appended to the existing Lead or Contact in your Salesforce account

Installing the integration

Installing this integration requires the installation of the Reprise-Salesforce Connected App on your Salesforce account as well as a quick connection in your Reprise account. The user installing this integration will need administrative access to Salesforce.

Installing the Connected App Package

  1. Install the managed package from this URL
  2. Within Salesforce, navigate to Setup > Platform Tools > Apps > App Manager
  3. Find the Reprise app in the list and select the dropdown to manage the app

  4. Select "Edit Policies"
  5. Under OAuth Policies, select Admin approved users are pre-authorized
  6. Save
  7. Back on the App settings page, scroll to the Profiles section and select Manage Profiles
  8. From here you can select which profiles you'd like to have access to the Reprise-Salesforce integration. Select the profiles, and Save.

Data Permissions

The integration requires two specific application permissions, which are displayed in the settings of the App Manager:

  1. Perform requests at any time is used:
    • To generate access tokens to be returned when the requesting client is eligible to receive one (tokens are not saved in Reprise and are deleted automatically)
    • To create/update records
  2. Manage user data via APIs is used:
    • To Read data from Salesforce, specifically:
      • Lead Last Name, Email
      • Contact Last Name, Email
      • Account Company Name
    • To Write data to Salesforce, specifically:
      • Lead Last Name, Email, Company, plus any additional text, pick-list, or multi-select fields your organization requires

Data Sent to Salesforce

The integration creates either Lead or Contact records in Salesforce:

  • Lead Last Name, Email, Company, plus any additional text, pick-list, or multi-select fields your organization requires. New records will also update Lead Source to Reprise, but existing leads' sources will not be changed.
  • Contact Last Name, Email, Account, plus any additional text, pick-list, or multi-select fields your organization requires. New records will also update Lead Source to Reprise, but existing contacts' sources will not be changed.
  • Account Company Name

Note:

Custom required fields will need to be set up by your Salesforce admin through Setup Object Manager Fields and Relationships

When a Lead or Contact is created, a Task will also be appended to the record. These Tasks can be used to group Leads or Contacts for reporting or workflows.

  • Task Subject is "[HTML Environment Name] - HTML Environment View"
  • Task Description contains:
    • The HTML Environment title
    • The URL of the HTML Environment associated with the view. This allows you to search Salesforce for Tasks associated with a certain HTML Environment.
    • The Link title
    • The Link description
    • A direct link to the session timeline of the visitor's activity in Reprise. This allows your team to see exactly what the person did in the replay chronologically.
  • Task Status will be passed as "Completed"

What Analytics Can You Get from the Reprise-Salesforce Integration?

1. Who Engaged with Your Demo

  • Lead and Contact creation in Salesforce:

    • Captures email, name, company, and any custom fields you set (e.g., persona, use case, industry).

    • Identifies net new leads vs. existing contacts.

2. What Demo Was Viewed

  • A Task is automatically created on the Lead or Contact record with:

    • HTML Environment title

    • Link title and description (so you can distinguish which version or CTA was used)

    • URL of the HTML Environment they watched

3. When and How They Interacted

  • Task metadata includes:

    • A direct link to the in-app session timeline, where your team can see:

      • When the person viewed the demo

      • What steps they took, in order, in the product tour or leave-behind

      • How long they spent and what areas they explored most

4. Where the Lead Came From

  • Lead Source is set to “Reprise” for new leads — enabling segmentation and reporting by origin

  • You can use this to attribute pipeline and conversions back to your demos

5. Custom Field Mapping for Deeper Insights

  • You can pass and report on:

    • Persona or role

    • Campaign name

    • Product line of interest

    • Any custom picklists or multi-select fields from your Welcome form

6. Segmentation and Reporting in Salesforce

  • Because each HTML Environment interaction creates a Salesforce Task, you can:

    • Build reports and dashboards showing demo-driven engagement

    • Trigger automation workflows (e.g., alert BDRs when someone watches a demo)

    • Use campaign membership or lead scoring rules to prioritize outreach

Troubleshooting

Necessary Settings in Salesforce

tasks.png

  1. Ensure task editing is checked (see image)
  2. Ensure read, edit, and create are on for leads, accounts, and contacts
  3. Please make sure the environment in which you installed the app matches the domain and environment fields in the Integration’s settings in Reprise.
  4. Please make sure the connected app has the correct permissions. Often, users forget to select “Admin approved users are pre-authorized” under OAuth Policies.

  5. The username entered in Reprise needs to be included in the permitted Connected App Profile.
  6. Does the domain of the username match your client name? For example, a username of bob@boberson.com couldn’t install the Salesforce connection for a company called Frankerson. We do not allow this for security purposes.
