HTML Editor- Compound Actions

Compound actions are used to perform single trigger multiple action workflows. So for example, if you want to go to the next screen with one click and at the same time also open a menu item, you would use compound actions. These can also be used to delay an action after a click. 

Follow the instructions below to learn how to use compound actions with guides

1. Within your guide, select the action drop down

2. Underneath compound, select do compound action

3. Press the "Add New" button

4. Give your compound action a name and select your first action

5. Press the plus sign to add additional actions

6. You can drag and drop the order of the actions from here or delete steps. Press create action when you are finished.

7. Now that the new action is created, you can select it to add it to your guide

8. Press Save on your guide when you are finished

Edit or Delete a Compound Action

  1. To edit or delete a compound action, return to the guide and click the Add New button under the Action section.

  2. A list of your compound actions will appear. Hover over the action you want to change—this will reveal a pencil icon (edit) and a trashcan icon (delete).

  3. Click the pencil icon to edit. Make your changes, then click Save Action when you're done.

  4. To use the updated action, select it from the list and click Select Action. Don’t forget to click Save on your guide to apply the changes.
