Clone Editor- Getting Started

Getting started with the Clone Editor is quick and straightforward. This guide walks you through launching the editor, familiarizing yourself with the main navigation modes, and accessing essential top-bar tools to streamline your demo-building process. Let’s begin by opening a demo in the editor.

Launch the Editor from Drafts

  1. From your drafts, select the demo you want to edit.

  2. Select Edit

Navigate Editor Tabs The Clone Editor has two main modes:

  • Navigate Mode: Allows you to click through the demo as a viewer.
  • Edit Mode: Enables you to modify screen elements within the demo.

To toggle between these, click Navigate or Edit at the top of the editor. 

Top Bar Overview

  • Preview Button: Located at the top right, this button allows you to preview the demo from the start screen.
  • Settings Tab: Manage settings, rename demos, apply tags, and perform other actions on your demo from here.

    Left-Hand Panel

    The left-hand panel in the editor provides navigation for editing your demo.

    • Information: The default tab, showing key details such as the demo name, capture URL, last edited timestamp, title, app, folder, and tags.
    • Find & Replace: Manage Global Replacement Rules here.
    • Text Edits: View and modify previous text edits.
    • Variables: Edit or delete variables.
    • Links: Manage and toggle all links in your demo.

    The Guides and Pages tabs are grouped under an expandable section to keep the workspace organized.
