Clone Editor- Variables Management

Variables are a powerful way to customize demos, allowing for adaptable text and date fields that can be updated as needed. This guide explains how to create, modify, and delete variables within the Clone Editor, giving you flexibility in building demos tailored to different audiences or scenarios.

Create, Modify, and Delete Variables

  1. Creating Variables

    • In Edit Mode, click a text or date element.

    • Open the Variables menu by selecting the bracket icon on the left.

    • Click the + icon to create a new variable, then choose Text or Date and configure as desired. For Date variables, timestamps will be based on local time when created so that that those viewing a demo will see a consistent time. A tooltip will appear to explain how to create timestamps with AM/PM values.

  2. Modifying Variables

    • From the published demo page, select Links in Tile view.

    • Click the Edit Link icon to open the variables menu and adjust values, then Save.

  3. Deleting Variables

    • Open the Variables menu, find the variable, click More Actions, and select Delete.
