Clone Environment AI Configuration

Every Clone Environment demo goes through a setup process to ensure everything works just as expected. While configuration is handled by the Reprise team, we use powerful diagnostic tools behind the scenes to help identify opportunities to enhance demo performance and behavior.

A few of the most commonly used diagnostics in this process are AI Request Routing, Hardcoded Domain Detection, and Telemetry Detection and Blocking. All are designed to streamline setup using automation and AI - making the demo-building experience faster and more efficient.

AI Request Routing

In some demos, specific web requests may need to be routed differently to recreate the right experience. The AI Request Routing diagnostic helps by identifying those requests and automatically generating the routing snippet needed.

What it does:

  • Detects web requests that benefit from snippet-based routing.

  • Uses AI to generate routing snippets, including code, name, description, and category.

How it works:

  1. Run the diagnostic: From the Configure page in Clone Environment, selecting Run (or Rerun) initiates an analysis of your demo’s requests.

  2. View the results: Click Details to see a list of domains where routing may be helpful. The Reprise team can review and select any that apply.

  3. Generate a snippet: When Create Snippet is selected, AI builds the appropriate code snippet and notifies the user once it's ready to save.

🔍 Note: This diagnostic requires Generative AI to be enabled for your account.

Why it matters:

This diagnostic makes it easier and faster to prepare a polished demo experience - without the need for manual deep dives into request data.

Hardcoded Domain Detection

Sometimes web requests within a demo contain fixed (or "hardcoded") web addresses. If those addresses point outside of the demo environment, the behavior might not match the intended flow. The Hardcoded Domain diagnostic helps identify these web addresses and provides an easy way to update them with AI-generated snippets.

What it does:

  • Identifies requests that contain fixed, external domains.

  • Generates a snippet to rewrite those domains so the demo stays on track.

How it works:

  1. Run the diagnostic: From the Configure page, select Run (or Rerun) under the Hardcoded Domain section.

  2. View the results: A new Hardcoded Domains section appears under Web Requests, showing any requests that contain fixed domains.

  3. Generate a snippet: The Reprise team can view the specific domains found, select them, and use Create Snippet to automatically rewrite the addresses.

Why it matters:

This tool ensures your demo behaves consistently within the Clone Environment environment and provides a seamless experience.

Telemetry Detection and Blocking

Telemetry requests are web requests related to tracking services (like Google Tag Manager, Pendo, Datadog, or New Relic). While these are valuable in live apps, they aren’t needed in a demo context and can create unnecessary noise. The Telemetry Detection and Blocking diagnostic identifies these requests and generates snippets to block them automatically.

What it does:

  • Detects tracking- and analytics-related web requests (e.g., GTM, Pendo, Datadog, New Relic).

  • Explains why each request was flagged so it’s easy to understand—even for non-technical users.

  • Generates a snippet to block the request from running in your demo environment.

How it works:

  1. Run the diagnostic: From the Configure page, select Run under the Telemetry Detection and Blocking section.

  2. View the results: A modal appears showing detected telemetry requests, along with a short explanation of why they were flagged.

  3. Generate a snippet: Select Create Snippet and AI will automatically write and apply the blocking snippet to your demo.

📊 Why it matters:
Telemetry requests are some of the most common snippets our team writes for Clone Environment demos—appearing in over 25% of demos. Automating this step saves significant setup time and ensures a smoother demo experience without distracting analytics calls.
